The Bar

The idea behind Isola bar arose from the desire of the partners Cid Simão, Marcos Freitas and Rodrigo Queiroz to bring back the atmosphere from classic hotel bars.

The large marble counter and the wooden wall with several labels show the nostalgic atmosphere and romanticism, bringing back the extinct bars in the capital. The decor was made with the personal collection of the owners, which brings framed cover discs, Collections of bottles of whisky and drawings of movie characters.

To create the cocktail menu, the award-winning mixologist Spencer Jr. was inspired by international trends and the history of XIX and XX bartending. Among the highlights of the cocktails, there is the award-winning Gentleman's Soul, voted the best drink with whisky in 2012, which uses Gentleman Jack whisky double filtered, sicilian lemon, peach bitters, everything flavored with oak smoke.

The menu signed by the chef Rodrigo Queiroz, focuses on snacks and dishes which are ideal to harmonize with the bar cocktails. He invests on reinterpretations of classic dishes and snacks served in bars. Divided into six parts, the food menu was, also carefully designed so that the customers can find options to please their tastes. Among the options of traditional snacks, a good choice is the crocchette di Bacala alla "Donna Lila", the classic cod cake recipe prepared exactly the way his Grandma used to make.
